Access to Captain Ned for:
A boat owner called us on Valentine's Day.
He had docked his boat but the engines wouldn't shut down.
Captain Ned hopped onto a video call with him and went through a troubleshooting process in order to resolve the issue.
After some discussion and elimination of various possibilities, it was clear what the exact problem was. Next the Captain tried to step the owner through corrective action, but the owner simply couldn’t get the access required to fix the problem.
As we were too far from the boat, we made some calls and found one of his Nedwork who could get to the boat within 20mins.
Working together - they got the engines to turn off (without waiting for it to run out of fuel!).
Over the next couple of days we had a marine engineer onboard to further evaluate the situation and resolve the problem.
